Botulinum Toxin Injections

Botulinum Toxin Injections – This substance is a protein and neurotoxin that is used to block nerve impulses and reduce muscle activity that can lead to facial wrinkles and lines. It has been administered in nonsurgical procedures to millions of adults to improve facial skin features. Treatments take less than 10 minutes and there is no recovery period. The results last for months!

  • BOTOX® Cosmetic from Allergan can erase crow’s feet around the eyes and smooth away unwanted forehead and brow lines. BOTOX was the first botulinum toxin product approved by the FDA for aesthetic use. The results last on average between 3-5 months. Revision Skin Center uses only FDA-approved undiluted BOTOX manufactured by Allergan. For more information about BOTOX from the manufacturer please see
  • XEOMIN® from Merz Pharmaceuticals is a more pure form of botulinum toxin so a patient is less likely to develop antibodies or an immunity to the drug over time. XEOMIN typically is used to improve the appearance of glabellar lines—the frown lines. In clinical trials, the effects lasted 3 months on average. For more information about XEOMIN from the manufacturer please see

Dermal Filler Treatments

Dermal Filler Treatments – Another popular facial treatment involves filling in areas that have lost natural volume due to collagen breakdown or the depletion of hyaluronic acid. Revision Skin Center offers a carefully selected line of injectable dermal filler treatments to fill these spaces and augment areas below the cheekbones and around the nose and lips.

JUVÉDERM®  from Allergan contains the hyaluronic acids that can restore volume, enhance features, and fill in wrinkles and skin folds. The effects can last up to a year. For more information about JUVÉDERM from the manufacturer please see

  • RADIESSE ® Volumizing Filler from Merz Aesthetics also fills wrinkles and promotes the production of natural collagen to fill sagging facial areas—often in the cheeks. A single treatment can last a year. For more information about RADIESSE from the manufacturer please see
  • BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler from Mertz Aesthetics is a hyaluronic acid product we use to fill significant areas as well as delicate wrinkles. The results typically last 6 months or more. For more information about BELOTERO from the manufacturer please see

Exfoliation Treatments

Exfoliation Treatments – These techniques remove dead and dried skin, allowing healthier more attractive skin to emerge. In the course of the treatments, small hairs can be removed and minor acne scarring can be minimized.

  • Chemical Peels – Revision Skin Center offers several different chemical peels to lift dead skin and pigment. We use only medical grade ingredients and we choose the product and technique best suited to your age, skin condition, budget, and expectations. A series of chemical peels not only can result in more supple skin but can reduce the prominence of age spots and sun damage while improving acne conditions.
  • Microdermabrasion – For a non-chemical, non-surgical approach to skin resurfacing, we offer microdermabrasion. In this procedure, the skin surface is “brushed” with a diamond tip to exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin cells leaving a healthy, glowing layer of skin. If your skin has been neglected, we recommended up to six microdermabrasion treatments—one every other week.
  • Dermaplaning – This is a painless scraping of facial skin with special instruments. It not only removes the outer layer of dead skin but also removes unwanted fine hairs. The procedure results in fresher, smoother skin—especially when done in coordination with treatments like chemical peels.

Resurfacing Treatments

Laser – With the elōs Plus, we are able to treat a multitude of conditions while offering excellent comfort and safety during treatment. The providers at Sanova Dermatology use the elōs Plus for laser hair removal, skin tightening, and skin rejuvenation, as well for treating dermal conditions such as acne and skin pigmentation issues. The elōs Plus employs a combination of light or laser energy along with radiofrequency (RF) energy in order to deliver maximum results.

Microneedling   Microneedling is a dermaroller procedure that uses small needles to prick the skin. The purpose of treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. Microneedling is mostly used on the face and may treat various scars, wrinkles, and large pores. (Percutaneous Induction Needling, also referred to as PCIT, Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy… a.k.a. micro-needling, or automated micro-needling) P.I.N. is a method of introducing a controlled wound into the skin triggering a release of natural growth factors, new collagen & elastin. This process causes much less damage to the epidermis than dermal rolling or lasers and other ablative treatments, which helps to protect the new skin cell growth providing for quicker healing and a much higher success rate for overall and longer lasting results.
